About

The Arstanbap-Ata rural district is located in the Bazar-Korgon district of Jalal-Abad region. The area stands out for its unique nature, world-famous walnut and fruit forests, beautiful mountain landscapes and opportunities for tourism. In 2024, as part of the administrative and territorial reform, the Arstanbap, Kyzyl-Unkur and Mogol rural districts, together with the village of Kok-Alma from the Taldy-Bulak rural district, were merged into the Arstanbap-Ata rural district. Today it comprises 19 villages. Its total area is 94,672 hectares, and as of the beginning of 2026 its permanent population exceeds 51,000 people. The local economy rests on agriculture, livestock farming, horticulture, walnut harvesting and tourism. In recent years the district has seen work to improve infrastructure: roads are being repaired, bridges built, municipal services developed and the quality of public services raised. These efforts support the social and economic development of the area and further strengthen its tourism sector.
